Fiberglass Blown-in
Other than their thermal properties fiberglass insulations are beneficial in that they have both moisture and fire-resistant properties because they are typically made from sand and glass, thus naturally non-combustible. Indoor sound reduction, mold resistance and easy installation are also great benefits to fiberglass.
Cellulose Blown-in
Commercial cellulose insulations are typically created from paper products. This could include recycled newspapers, office paper, cardboard, and other common waste paper products. For this reason, cellulose insulation is considered and eco-friendly insulation option and is generally made up of over 80% recycled material. Cellulose insulation is dense, thick and clumpy giving a consistency much like down feathers.
